Dorothy Horn arranges music for choirs and is originally from Cape Town, where she obtained a Bachelor of Music degree. She currently lives in Sydney where she offers piano lessons to adults and children at her home studio. She sings with Hummingsong Community Choirs, a network of non-auditioned women’s choirs, and this is what inspired her to start doing her choral arrangements. Dorothy creates arrangements that are designed to be singable by people with a variety of musical backgrounds. She aims to make them easy to memorize, within a comfortable singing range, while still conveying the feel and message of the song.
